Maclura tinctoria - this is not your usual Osage Orange that we are used to here in the
United States, and it's almost too bad that it carries this name. Argentine Osage turns a lot
easier and is not the same coarse grain. This is more like a very hard satin wood that
finishes with a real sheen and actually does turn orange in color over time. One of the
more modestly priced exotics and will also set off some of the other darker woods in your
display.
