Cordia spp. - from Mexico, this is a beautiful wood that is easy to work and takes a great
shine with proper sanding techniques. Dark creamy golden yellow color with walnut
colored stripes, often with either bird's eye or other types of figure spots. Available in
bigger sizes for nice looking bowls and hollow forms, but also looks good as accents or
bottle stoppers, etc. Again, one of the easier exotics to work with and a great way to get
your feet wet turning imported wood.
