Dalbergia retusa - the King of the Rosewoods, this comes form the west coast of Central
America and is simply beautiful.  The heartwood comes in a variety of colors - everything from
bright orange-red to a deep scarlet mixed with dark striping.  The sap wood is tan/yellow and
provides a great contrast.  This is a tricky wood to dry, as are most exotics, but very stable.  
Cocobolo is probably the most popular exotic wood and one of the best sellers.  Bigger sizes
are available for everything from bowls and hollow forms to pens, finials, collars and
everything in between.  Easy to finish with just a quick brush of wax.
